[ So few see past the masks he shows the world. But Zishu sees him and it sinks into his core. With this man, he doesn't have to pretend to be alright or whole.

And Zishu loves him anyway. ]

You can't disappoint your Lao Wen.

[ Kexing leans into that kiss to his forehead with a hum. Then settles over his beloved, letting their fingers entwine as their foreheads rest together. ]

A-Xu...it will only heal when you regain your strength.

[ He lets a smile appear then, and nudges their noses together. ]

And show me by making love to me for a week.

[Always. Kexing doesn't have to pretend to be alright. If he is hurt or angry or lost, Zishu will be there to take hold of his hand.]

I'll remember that the next time he acts pitiful.

[Chuckling, he softens when they settle together, two halves of a whole. He presses their palms flush and listens to the voice that can reach him no matter what.]

I'm... I am. It just takes time.

[Blinking, cheeks a pale pink, he tilts his head and captures Kexing's lips for a loving kiss.]

Mmm did I say a week? I meant a month. We'll just have to schedule everything for when we need to breathe.

[ It's hard for him to let go. To let the mask down. But he can't deny Zishu anything anymore.

He can't resist laughing with his soulmate and settles them on their sides, pulling the blankets up and over them to fend off any chill. ]

And I will be here every step of the way.

[ He hums into the kiss, eyes fluttering closed as he feels his soulmate's love sink into him. Healing him. Then grins when the kiss breaks and tucks their heads together before giving Zishu an amused, delighted grin at the corrected promise that makes his heart leap. ]

We'll find our way.

[Zishu snuggles under the blankets, wrapping his arms around Kexing. There is something deliciously intimate about nestling under covers with his lover. His hands smooth over the strong body of his Lao Wen and he bends slightly to kiss his chest.]

Then I won't fail.

[His eyes close blissfully too and he melts into the kiss, tenderly, wordlessly letting his soulmate know what he means to him.

A smile lingers on his lips when they simply lay together and he feels his body heat at his promise. A month. And then...

The rest of their lives too.]

We will forget all of the pain.

[ He wiggles until he can tangle their legs together, his arms already curling around his beloved as they find the best way to curl together. He sighs softly as contentment settles over him, loving every press of their bodies. The heat of his beloved. Signs of life and growing strength. ]

No pain, A-Xu. Only pleasure for us.

[ He nuzzles their noses together and claims a soft kiss just because. ]

Rest, I'm not going anywhere.

[Kexing knows how to fit them together, legs twining, arms holding, and Zishu honestly doesn't hurt when they are like this. He welcomes his soulmate, his better half, with a soft smile and he caresses a cheek, marveling that he can have this. What reason more does he need to live?]

Only pleasure with you.

[He melts into the kiss and his eyes close.]

Stay with me, Lao Wen. I won't keep you waiting long.

[ Kexing sighs in bliss as they settle, curled together. He nuzzles into that hand with a soft smile, eyes lidding peacefully.

The kiss leaves him humming, and he claims another one in answer to that request. ]

You won't lose me, A-Xu. I'm here.

[His Lao Wen is adorable. Oh he is just as insane as him, of course, but also adorable. Zishu wants to keep him; he wants to live with him for years and years to come. Closing his eyes to sleep is almost frightening, but he has to believe he will wake up.]

I will see you...when I wake?

[ They're both utterly mad. But it works for them. He hears that fear and tightens his arms around his soulmate, knowing that fear himself. He rolls them again, settling Zishu over him, and nuzzles his temple as he adjusts the blankets to make sure Zishu remains covered and warm. ]

Of course you will.

[ So Zishu has to wake up. ]

[His fear eases and he relaxes over his Lao Wen, focusing only on the beat of their hearts. The rhythm is the same. What happens to one will happen to both; they are never alone.]

I love you.

[With everything he has to give. Zishu gives a little sigh and hugs onto Kexing before drifting off to sleep.]

[ This may well become his favorite way to sleep. With his beloved resting on top of him, their limbs tangled together. He feels his very soul warm at those sweet words and presses a kiss to Zishu's forehead. ]

[He makes a sleepy noise, curling against - and around - his Lao Wen. There are no complaints about this position from him either! It means his beloved can't leave without him following - and he will always follow.
