[He is spoiled each day, waking beside his Lao Wen and going about the duties appointed him. After a nice breakfast, of course. His beloved makes sure he is fed and fed well. Then, after spending far too much time in a certain audience chamber, he makes his way back to the rooms he has come to love best. Sometimes he makes a detour into the garden, wandering the meandering paths or taking a nap against his favorite tree. But he always returns to Kexing.

He bathes himself in preparation for seeing his husband-to-be, making sure he smells good enough to eat - not that he can tell, but he presumes he smells nice based on the soaps he chooses. Then he dresses himself in his thin under-robe and lays down in their bed.

That is how Kexing will find him, blinking peacefully, most days, looking all too like a contented cat or fox.]

[ He loves spoiling his soulmate. Cooking good meals for him, holding him through the night, kisses...all of it keeps him going during the day. And coming back to their room? To finding Zishu there?

Very little could make this better, outside of the certainty of Zishu living. Oh, he knows Zishu shouldn't be in this wing. So they are careful, and he knows his soulmate is too skilled to be discovered where he shouldn't be, according to the rules of court here.

He grins when he comes in and stalks over to the bed, leaning in to claim a tender kiss that starts at Zishu's lips, then more kisses as he moves down along his jaw to press loving affection over that tempting neck before he simply breathes in his beloved's clean, enticing scent. Kexing sighs happily and nuzzles his beloved before stretching out beside him.

Only then does he smile again into Zishu's eyes, nudging their noses together. ]

Mmm...Hello.

[If there is one thing Zishu knows how to do, it's how to move around silently, secretly. He won't get his Lao Wen in trouble nor will he allow trouble to fall on his head either. What they have is too important and if someone tried to remove him from these rooms, Baiyi would slit their throat.

The sword is, as ever, nearby even when Zishu lounges in their bed.

Dark eyes brighten when Kexing approaches him and he lifts himself to press into each kiss, blushing when the attention drifts to his jaw and neck. His efforts in the bath have paid off and he grins when his beloved lays beside him. He welcomes Kexing with a warm hug, checking him over for any wounds.]

I...wanted to show you... [Sitting up, he loosens the robe and opens it to his waist, showing Kexing how well the wounds have healed. The scars are a light pink.]

[ They both have that skill, don't they? They're careful, but also stubborn in staying together. No one can get into these rooms who doesn't belong in them. Kexing admires his A-Xu's Baiyi, has from the moment he'd heard of it and then learned it belonged to this beautiful man.

He takes his time in lavishing affection and love to that ailing body that still smells so very good and feels even better in his arms, pressed against him. He loves those blushes, and grins when he pulls back. The embrace makes him hum, and he does nothing to push those hands off as they check him over for non-existent wounds.

Those words have him sit up, then draw in a sharp breath as that robe is loosened and pushed down. He reaches out to gently trace over the pink scars, then leans in to press feather-light kisses over each one. Once again moving slowly up his soulmate's body to claim another kiss from those soft lips. ]

Much better, A-Xu.

[Baiyi will protect them; Zishu hasn't once been disappointed in his blade. Just like his beloved's fan. Their weapons know who to cut down and who to spare. It amuses him that, even when they fought earnestly, neither of their weapons harmed them. Baiyi and that enchanting fan are wiser than their wielders!

His senses are diminished, but he hasn't noticed that worsening. Eleven's healing has given him a point of stability and he has some energy to spare most days. That alone is a gift he could never repay with money. But he will find a way to express his gratitude.

Right now, however, he can think of nothing else but his soulmate's lips and the strength of the body that presses close. His hands search for wounds and, upon finding none, Zishu smiles. He kisses his soulmate, his world, lovingly before he sits up, ready to share his good news.

He watches Kexing avidly, blushing harder when the scars are kissed. His skin...tingles. It feels good to be touched like that and he bites his lip.]

Mmm... [Blinking slowly at the kiss to his lips, he cups his beloved's face between his hands.] Lao Wen, would you like to lie with me? Without our robes?

[ They're too familiar with their weapons of choice. Kexing's is just less obvious!

He's more relieved by the healing than he can fully express - Eleven has earned a lot of free meals (and more) for this. Time. Zishu is still dying far too fast. But they have a little more time. His beloved is stronger.

Getting to show some of his love every day, to kiss and touch this man's body, is more than he'd really hoped for. But now there is more hope, that he won't lose his reason for living. So he smiles, relaxing under those hands, then his eyes go a little wide at the questions, gasping. Before his smile brightens and he turns his head enough to kiss each palm. ]

Yes.

[ He'd never suggested it before, despite his keen interest in men and lack of shame when it comes to sex...because he doesn't want to force his soulmate in this. Not even just in undressing before the other and learning how the other's body feels without anything hiding their skin. ]

Do you want me to undress for you, my A-Xu? [ He lets his voice dip, seductively playful but still so very warm. ]

[He loves Kexing's weapon; it's fitting for a man who has learned how to adapt to any situation.

And, yes, he is dying and that is part of the reason he wants to shed everything that separates them. Zishu still has a sense of touch and Kexing's lips and hands do affect him. He doesn't want to lose an opportunity - even if there are bumps in the road - just because he is afraid of being a disappointment. Kexing will accept him no matter what. He trusts that.]

I want to see you. [He smiles gently.] Let me see my Lao Wen. Let me know what he feels like and where he likes to be touched.

[In return, he begins to slip out of his robe, pushing it down so he can free his arms first.]
